Objectives

The objectives of the Monsoon Mission are to:

• Improve the prediction skill of monsoon weather and climate
• Develop and implement the Bharat Forecast System
• Develop and implement the Monsoon Mission Data Assimilation System
• Enhance observational network for better monsoon monitoring
• Strengthen research collaboration with international institutions
• Build capacity for climate modeling and forecasting
